DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATES ADDRESS
LONE STAR DEMOCRATIC CLUB
Montgomery County Democrats met at South County Library in The Woodlands on Jan 12 to meet their 2012 Democratic candidates. The candidates introduced themselves and presented their agendas. • January 17 – Meeting of the MCDP Executive Committee to plan the Primary Election, Precinct Conventions, and County/Senate District Convention(at MCDP HQ, 7PM)
• January date-to-be-announced - Reopening of candidate filing for a place on the ballot, as well as any candidate changes or withdrawals
• February 1 – Deadline (6PM) for all candidate filing
• February 3 – Drawing for candidate order on the ballot (at MCDP HQ, 7PM)
• March 19-30 – Early voting for Primary Election
• April 3 – Primary Election Day and Precinct Conventions
• April 11 - Meeting of the MCDP Executive Committee to canvass Primary Election results (at MCDP headquarters, 7PM)
• April 21 – County/Senate District Convention
• May 29-June 1 – Early voting for Primary Runoff (if needed)
• June 5 – Primary Runoff Election Day
• June 8-9 - Texas State Democratic Convention (at George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston)
