We are writing to ask for your help with dramatically changing the political playing field in Montgomery County.
In order to affect any real political change locally, the Montgomery County Democratic Party needs to increase our financial resources and the consistency of that cash flow. If we expect better results we need to do more, and to put it bluntly, that takes money. It’s not just about “keeping the lights on,” we must be able to develop strategic plans, fund a media strategy, modernize the office & tools, hire expertise, analyze data, and pay for all the other elements of foundational support so that we can help get candidates elected into office. It takes money to create infrastructure, reach voters and win elections!
Our goal is to obtain 500 new “evergreen” donors. We are suggesting a donation of $10 per month, but more importantly we’d like to also ask you to recruit two other people to participate. “YOU, plus two!”
While 500 may sound ambitious, we KNOW there are thousands of people in Montgomery County who want the Democratic Party to succeed in getting candidates elected into office… and we know that a large portion could afford to set up a $10 monthly reoccurring contribution. Now is the time to ask!
It is not hyperbole to say that if this campaign is successful, these funds will be a game-changer for us. For years the MCDP has struggled to pay for the basics, but if we are able to create a consistent cash flow we will be able to better help get our candidates elected into office.
