RELEASE: Texas Democratic Party on September Jobs Report

Today, Texas Democratic Party Communications Director Abhi Rahman issued
the following statement on the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS)
September jobs report, which revealed that the unemployment rate sits at
nearly 8% and job growth has slowed significantly:
“Today’s jobs numbers reveal what many Texans already know: our
economy isn’t working for working people. Hundreds of thousands of
small businesses are shuttering for good, millions of Americans are out
of jobs, and working families are fighting to make ends meet. To make
matters worse, Black and Latino communities are being left out of the
recovery altogether. It didn’t have to be this bad. Texas families
deserve leaders like Joe Biden and Kamala Harris who will put working
families first, create good-paying jobs, and build our economy back
better.”
