James Barron

With much sorrow, the Montgomery County Democratic Party announces the passing of long-time precinct chair and activist James Barron yesterday, April 12th, 2020 at age 87 after a brief illness. James was a retired Harris County Sheriff’s Deputy and long-time bailiff in the Harris County courts. James was also active in the civil rights movement and Democratic Party politics, both locally and on a state-wide level in the Gubernatorial campaign of Dolph Briscoe and the Senatorial campaign of Lloyd Bentsen. More recently, James has been the long-time Precinct Chair of precinct 30, the current Precinct Chair of precinct 97, and the Sgt-at-Arms of the MCDP. Please keep Lou Barron and the rest of the Barron family in your thoughts and prayers.
